God does have a funny way of bringing the unexpected and unlikely to pass. Matt and McKayla's journey started at The Navigators in Colorado Springs. Drawn from Orlando, FL and Eau Claire, WI, they both moved to Colorado that exact same day, marking the beginning of their story that's still being written. Their paths crossed often, sparking butterflies and anticipation. It took them a month and a Friendsgiving to officially meet. A serendipitous ski trip after the new year at Keystone marked a significant turn in their relationship. Matt, a novice skier from Florida, took a chance, not just on the slopes, but also in expressing his feelings.

After a memorable day on the slopes, Matt took another leap, asking McKayla out on her 23rd birthday. Their shared love for adventure and service blossomed alongside their growing feelings for each other. Their love for God and shared life goals became all the more evident. A year later, on McKayla's 24th birthday, Matt popped even a bigger question—"Will you marry me?" And with tears she said, "Absolutely, yes!"

The M&M duo is over the moon about their engagement. They're looking forward to celebrating this milestone with their loved ones in Colorado, where their story first began.
